put this song on loudest volume and while you listen, come up with the best possible plan to get to webster hall’s grand ballroom this thursday night for justice’s dj jackson (yes, mj) set in nyc.
get there anyway you can. god knows, i have to be at the hospital at 5am so i cant go. but you should. please go.
[justice] - phantom part III (the pragmatic remix)
need to get pumped up? listen to this song. here’s to hoping pragmatic blows up and remixes everything in sight (and their own stuff is awesome too — see above).
remixes of this song are popping up all over the blogosphere, but i must admit, the original is the better version… in my opinion that is.
just gotta love her beats, and the fact that she was born out of myspace popularity, as dave said the other day when he posted the meddle (treasure fingers remix).
hope you enjoy the track. in honor of monday, here are a couple mashups (because they both start with the letter ‘m’!!!) available for download that you will most definitely enjoy.
okay, so this remix isn’t THAT much different from the original, but sometimes you dont need a ridiculous beat change, or additions to make a good remix. sometimes you just need subtle bass uplifts, off-beat synth additions, and just enough to bring out the original vocals laid down. think you can do better? enter pretty much amazing’s passion pit remix contest — they have layers available and send in your remix for a chance to do a better job.
oh yeah, passion pit new album out on may 19th — hope you go out and grab that.
now here is a remix that exemplifies what im talking about — of course, done by justice. this remix of lovestoned was done last year (aug 2008) and i think it started the run of the recent mainstream remixes (u2, lenny kravitz) that they’ve done. but take a listen, right click to download, and enjoy!
i know. i just posted ciara. but you need to listen to this song. just for the damn BEAT. you can’t ignore it. you find your feet moving and you’re almost embarrassed because you know its ciara and justin. but enjoy it. let it flow because this is a damn good remix by discotech.
but just to get my mainstream music out of my system, here are a couple new remix releases of lenny kravitz and u2. download the mp3’s — just right click and hit ‘save as’.
